A poster and a flyer are part of your final work.
When presenting your final film, the film poster and the flyer will make a first impression on the jury members.
The poster and the flyer are the signboard of your film and should therefore stimulate the potential viewer. Pay attention to designing and ensure that they both look professional. If necessary, please consult fellow students of the graphic design department.
The film poster will eventually be presented to the wall at the auditorium where the master jury will continue. Each jury member receives your flyer at the start of the jury.
Guidelines on the design and information about which data must all be found below.

Filmposter checklist

- Titel van de film;
- Regisseur, producent (LUCA), jaar van productie en lengte;
- Korte wervende beschrijving van de film (korte synopsis, logline);

Movie poster checklist
A film poster (or the image on your flyer) must be
initially intriguing, making the public curious about your movie.

In order to achieve this, you must pay attention to the following points when designing:
Memorable
The entire design, appearance of your poster, the viewer must keep in mind.
Eye catcher
Draw the attention of the viewer through a unique layout or
an element in your design that immediately attracts attention.
Curt
Communicate the content of your film clearly and clearly.
Use a typography that fits your film content (genre) and pay attention to its readability.
Be aware that not all fonts are clearly legible from a distance.
Intrigue
Make sure your poster as a whole intrigues the viewer and arouses curiosity so that the audience wants to see your movie.
Informative
Make sure that all necessary information is included on the poster (title, director's name, Luca logo, composer's name, website, contact details, ...) and arranged in a logical, orderly manner.
Space
Do not stuff the layout of your poster with too many images and details.
Choose your image carefully and let your poster 'breathe'.
Leave enough space, space between the different parts on your poster.
Audience
Align your design with your target audience.
A poster for a child will look different than a movie for adults.
The same for an exciting or a cheerful film.
Fimposter clichés

MAKE A FLYER AT YOUR END WORKS
Your movie is ready. And then?
A film is only a film if there is an audience. And as a maker you also want your film to be seen. Why do you make the film different? You are going to submit the film for festivals. To name a few: ANIMA in Brussel, KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival, the Holland Animation Film Festival in Utrecht, the Internationales Trickfilm Festival Stuttgart, the International Animation Festival Annecy and the Ottawa International Animation Festival have interesting competitions for student films.
In addition to completing enrollment forms and producing production sheets with the most important credits and substantive data, a substantive and well-designed flyer is a supportive promotional tool. Because the market for your film is international, it may be useful to put your movie in English immediately. However, it is not mandatory for your final presentation.
Make sure that the flyer and poster are ready for the digital submission to the external jury.
As discussed earlier, you make a flyer with your movie. Content and design are free, but of course it is important that it is a promotional tool for your film and fits in with the content and design of your film (typography of the titles of your serial) and that poster and flyer also form a unit.
WHAT SHOULD BE IN ANY CASE IN YOUR FLYER
And of course the flyer has been drawn up flawlessly!
